10,000 Miles

Brake Pad Replacement

As your Nissan Altima reaches 10,000 miles, there will be a few tasks that will need to be performed. For starters, the oil will be changed and the brake fluid will be replaced. Aside from that, each of the following items will receive a thorough inspection:

  • Brake lines and cables
  • Brake pads and rotors
  • CVT fluid
  • Propeller shaft and drive shaft boots
  • Transfer fluid and differential gear oil

15,000 Miles

At the 15,000-mile mark, there will be an inspection of the exhaust system as well as the steering gear, linkage, axle, and suspension parts. This is in addition to the routine 5,000-mile check of the condition of the brake pads and rotors and propeller shaft and shaft boots.

It’s during this visit that the in-cabin microfilter will be replaced in order to make sure that all occupants will get a clean and healthy breathing experience throughout the drive. Finally, your Altima’s Nissan Intelligent Key® battery should be given a good onceover at this time to make sure it’s working the way it should.

20,000 Miles
