Nissan Titan Towing Capacity

The Nissan Titan has a maximum towing capacity of 9,660 pounds when properly equipped.1 It achieves this kind of brawn with help from the standard 5.6L V8 engine that delivers 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque.

Of course, how much you can tow will depend on your drivetrain, of which you'll have two to choose from. To maximize on towing capability, we recommend sticking with standard 2-wheel drive (2WD). However, if you like to take your truck off-road or find yourself traveling down some muddy paths, you might prefer the 2-speed transfer case and the 4-wheel drive (4WD) system.

This system allows you to choose between three different modes: 2WD, 4H, and 4LO. It also helps you tow up to 9,540 pounds when properly equipped.1

To help keep the Titan powerful and efficient, the 7-speed automatic transmission includes a tow/haul mode that prevents hunting for gears while pulling a trailer.

Payload, Cargo, and Nissan Titan Configurations

When you decide to drive the Nissan Titan, you'll have your pick between three different configurations: Crew Cab, King Cab, and Single Cab.

The Crew Cab comes with a 67-inch bed and can manage a maximum payload of 1,620 pounds.2 It also offers the most room for rear-seat passengers, giving them 38.5 inches in which to stretch their legs.

The King Cab also has a second-row seat, but it gives passengers 24.8 inches of rear-seat legroom. With this configuration, you'll be able to achieve a total payload of 1,640 pounds when properly equipped.2 The King Cab comes with a 78.7-inch bed, as well.

The final configuration option is the Single Cab. It comes with the longest bed, at 98.5 inches, and it can carry a maximum payload of 1,930 pounds.2 Unlike the other configurations, the Single Cab doesn't have a rear seat, so it offers a total seating capacity of two passengers in the front row.

Titan Technology

2019 Nissan Titan

In addition to being strong and capable, the Nissan Titan is also very high-tech. You'll probably notice that from the moment you enter the cabin and see the standard 7-inch touchscreen display.

This is where you'll access your favorite smartphone apps if you decide to use the standard Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay™ feature. These features completely integrate your smartphone with your infotainment system so that you can use phone apps like calling, texting, audio streaming, and navigation.

This screen is also where you'll look for the RearView Monitor or available Intelligent Around View® Monitor. The available Intelligent Around View® Monitor gives you a complete 360-degree video of the space around your vehicle, so you can more easily reverse into a parking space or line up your hitch and trailer.

Another useful technology feature the Titan offers is the available Blind Spot Warning system. This system provides a visual alert when another vehicle enters your side blind spots. With this system, you may be able to merge with more confidence, especially in well-traveled areas.
