Where Can I Read Nissan Rogue Safety Ratings?
When you're looking for Nissan Rogue safety ratings, we recommend going to two sources: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The NHTSA tests four different areas: Overall, Frontal Crash, Side Crash, and Rollover. For every test, they give a star rating between one and five. Vehicles that perform well in all four categories earn a 5-Star Safety Rating.
The IIHS assesses a vehicle's durability during a collision through a series of five different tests. This series of tests includes roof strength, head restraints, crash avoidance features, headlights, and LATCH systems for child seats. Models that have the best test results receive the TOP SAFETY PICK or TOP SAFETY PICK+ distinction.

Nissan Rogue Smart Safety Features
One of the best ways to stay safe while out on the road is to be aware of your surroundings. To help with that, the Nissan Rogue makes several smart safety features standard as part of the Nissan Safety Shield® 360 suite.
For instance, Blind Spot Warning is a standard safety system in the Rogue. This driver-assist feature provides a visual alert on your sideview mirror if another vehicle enters your side blind spot zone. This system pairs with standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which issues an audible warning if another vehicle crosses at the rear while you're in reverse.
Intelligent Lane Intervention is standard with the 2019 Nissan Rogue as well. This system detects if you're accidentally drifting from your lane of travel and gently steers you back in line.
Another helpful safety feature is ProPILOT Assist®. This available system can help reduce fatigue during your next road trip. During highway cruising, it lets you set a preferred following distance while using cruise control. If you approach slower moving traffic, it'll adjust your speed to maintain the pre-set distance and can even bring you to a stop during stand-still traffic.
Passive Safety Features for the Rogue
In addition to its high-tech collision mitigation features, the Rogue has several passive safety features that can help you stay safe should a collision occur. This includes the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags. Seat belt and occupant-classification sensors help adjust deployment as necessary based on the height and weight of the passengers.
It also has roof-mounted curtain supplemental airbags with a rollover sensor. These fold down from the ceiling in the event of rollover, so passengers' heads can be protected from the windows.
